How Much Will I Get Back?

Your refund depends on when you cancel, counted from the program start date.

60+ days before start Full Refund

Of all fees paid, minus the non-refundable booking deposit.

30 – 59 days before start 50% Refund

Of the remaining course fee, after the booking deposit.

Under 30 days before start Course Credit

No cash refund, but the full amount paid can move to a future date within 12 months.

If we cancel a program 100% Refund

Everything you paid, including the deposit — or a free transfer, your choice.

By confirming a booking with Shiva Tatwa Yogshala, you agree to the terms below. Please read them carefully — and ask us anything that is unclear before you pay.

Booking Deposit

A booking deposit secures your place on any program. Because we hold your room, teachers and materials from the moment you book, the deposit is non-refundable except when Shiva Tatwa Yogshala cancels the program.

Cancellation by the Student

Cancellations must be sent to us in writing by email. The refund you receive depends on how many days before the program start date we receive your email:

  • 60 days or more: full refund of all fees paid, minus the booking deposit.
  • 30 to 59 days: 50% of the remaining course fee is refunded.
  • Less than 30 days: no cash refund, but the full amount paid becomes a credit for a future program.

Transfers & Date Changes

Plans change — we understand. You may move your booking to another date or another program once, free of charge, if you tell us at least 30 days before your start date. Course credit must be used within 12 months of the original start date. If the new program costs more, the difference is payable; if it costs less, the balance stays as credit.

Cancellation by Shiva Tatwa Yogshala

In the rare event that we must cancel or postpone a program (for example due to too few participants, natural disasters, government restrictions or teacher illness), you can choose either a 100% refund of everything you have paid — including the deposit — or a free transfer to another date or program.

Medical & Emergency Situations

If a serious illness, injury or family emergency prevents you from attending, please contact us as soon as possible. With supporting documents (such as a doctor’s note), we will offer course credit for the full amount paid, whatever the notice period. We strongly recommend travel insurance that covers cancellation.

Early Departure & No-Shows

No refund or credit is given for missed classes, late arrival, leaving a program early, or not arriving without notice. Students asked to leave for breaking the school’s code of conduct are also not eligible for a refund.

Treks, Retreats & Third-Party Costs

Some costs are paid to other providers on your behalf and cannot be recovered once booked. These are not refundable:

  • Trekking permits, national park and TIMS fees
  • Domestic flights, jeep or bus tickets booked for you
  • Visa fees, travel insurance and your international flights

How Refunds Are Paid

Approved refunds are processed within 14 working days and paid back using the original payment method. Bank, card or money-transfer charges are deducted from the refund amount. Exchange-rate differences are outside our control.
